As part of the new “Celebrations” campaign, Princess bring us videos of their passengers giving accounts of their travels, which unveil a multitude of reasons for escaping to the seas on a cruise vacation in order to celebrate that all important event.
Princess decided to put cameras in the hands of their passengers, who show us what inspired them to take a cruise. The passengers became storytellers as they travelled a diverse range of worldwide destinations, filming their holidays and discussing the occasions that inspired them to cruise: from celebrating everything from love to change and even life itself!
With the “Celebrations” videos, the viewer is treated to a first hand account of many fabulous locations too, including the Panama Canal, Europe, the Caribbean, Hawaii and Australia; as we get to learn more about the memorable places the documenters visited, we also hear about some of their favourite onboard experiences too.
Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises executive vice president said-
“Usually people think of ‘celebrations’ as birthdays, anniversaries, or graduations, but as we listened to these passenger stories, we recognized a great opportunity to expand the definition. From a newly adopted child to overcoming adversity such as cancer, there are many occasions in life to celebrate. And we aim to offer the best cruise experience for life’s most important celebrations.”
The videos are the centrepiece of Princess Cruises’ new “Celebrations” campaign, but what about those who’ve travelled and celebrated with Princess previously? The company are giving passengers to share their own stories too, you can submit pictures and text on the company’s website for the chance to win a 7-day cruise aboard the new Royal Princess. Find out more here. On the page, you’ll be able to read about other people’s experiences, submitted through Facebook for the competition too. Princess first set sail back in 1965 with a single ship cruising to Mexico. Today the line is the third largest cruising company, with its fleet reaching all four corners of the world.
Princess added a range of features to their ships which innovated the whole industry during the 1990s, many of which are now commonplace onboard other leading cruise lines as a result. Some of these innovations included private balconies in cabins, 24-hour dining, a range of top quality dining room choices, the opportunity to have a wedding at sea, the “Time Square” like Movies Under the Stars experience, plus the chance to sit back and relax in a luxury onboard spa.
