P&O Set to Sparkle in 2017 With New ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ Voyages

When it comes to Britain’s favourite reality TV shows, there’s no denying that Strictly Come Dancing runs circles around the competition. It appears that P&O is also a die-hard fan, with the line just announcing a line-up of ‘sequins and salsa’ cruises set to sail both the Western and Central Mediterranean, as well as Baltic waters in 2017.

Held on-board Azura, Ventura and Britannia, the cruises give passengers a chance to star in their very own episodes of Strictly Come Dancing. Think sequinned frocks, sparkling glitter balls, VIP appearances and of course, seriously fancy footwork.

On-stage stardom for all

Invitations to compete in the coveted dancing competition are extended to all, with professional dancers from the hit BBC TV show on-hand to judge routines, as well as entertain passengers and reveal all in Q&A sessions. Got your heart set on securing the all-important Strictly Come Dancing glitter ball trophy? You’d better dress and dance to impress, because the celebrity panel will be watching!

Not quite sure where you left your dancing shoes? No problem! Throughout the cruise experts are on-hand to offer dancing lessons to all passengers. Whether you’ve got two left feet or are an accomplished performer, classes are a great way to refine skills, make new friends and of course, have a laugh.

A long-running partnership

P&O Cruises Senior Vice-President Paul Ludlow is thrilled to be continuing the partnership, commenting “We are the only holiday company to have this partnership with one of the country’s best loved shows and these Strictly themed cruises appeal to people who can dance, want to learn to dance or just like to admire the glitz and glamour in person.”

Want to get your sparkle on with P&O? All Strictly Come Dancing cruises depart and return to Southampton, and call at a host of ports across Europe. The 14 night Azura cruise to Spain, France and Italy departs on April 2, while Venture repeats a similar itinerary on April 30. On June 4, Britannia embarks on a 14-night voyage to Scandinavia and Russia, followed by a second 14-night Spain and Italy voyage on June 25.
