P&O Airs New Rob Brydon Advert

Since Rob Brydon’s debut advert for P&O Cruises aired last Christmas, the cruise line has enjoyed surges in cabin sales. The Welsh comedian has clearly connected with existing P&O passengers and new cruisers alike, and the line has brought him back for a new series of adverts which debuted this weekend (23 August).

The adverts follow a similar theme to the festive special last year with Brydon enjoying all the luxuries aboard the P&O Britannia, such as partaking in the on-board cooking masterclasses and showing off his signature dance moves.

The advert aired simultaneously on ITV, ITV3 and Sky One. Unusually, the advert was aired on Sky One during naval action drama, The Last Ship – hardly the ideal show to get people in the mood for a luxury cruise holiday. If you didn’t manage to catch the advert this Sunday, here it is courtesy of the P&O Cruises YouTube account.

P&O Cruises will be hoping Brydon’s cheeky face and reluctant indulgence has inspired viewers to enjoy a cruise on the Britannia. Following the initial advert run, the line announced it has “helped deliver some great results.”

Cookery and cuisine have become major focus points for P&O aboard the Britannia, showcasing the skills of many highly-regarded and celebrity chefs. The ship also features James Martin’s Cookery Club – giving passengers the chance to learn from the masters. The two hour cookery classes are led by Martin himself as well as hugely respected chefs including Bake Off star Mary Berry and three-time Michelin Star-winner, Pierre Koffmann.

And, we think this is a great opportunity to share some of our favourite Rob Brydon moments: his impressions of the Godfather, courtesy of BBC, and his fire safety masterclass on QI from VinTeeBabe.
