Oasis of the Seas Launches Dynamic Dining as Part of Refurbishment

After a two week dry dock in Rotterdam, the Netherlands; the Oasis of the Seas has been fitted with a range of new features and amenities including a selection of new restaurants and the exciting dynamic dining option.

The second largest passenger ship on the open seas has also received faster internet, a new Broadway show, new shops and even more suites and cabins.

Royal Caribbean have recently adopted the dynamic dining option, installing it in the upcoming Quantum of the Seas and Anthem of the Seas ships. The system allows passengers complete freedom when choosing their dining options throughout their stay, offering up to 18 different on-board restaurants and eateries.

This approach to on-board dining is a part of the company’s dedication to providing cruise holidays for all members of the family, all age groups and passengers of all tastes. The Oasis of the Sea will include 20 different restaurants including the American Icon Grill, Silk and The Grande which will replace the three-deck Opus restaurant. Dynamic dining will launch aboard the Oasis of the Seas from 14 March 2015.

As part of Royal Caribbean’s new ‘Boatloads of Bandwidth’ programme, the Oasis of the Seas will be fitted with O3b internet connectivity, offering browsing speeds comparable to on-shore connections. The improved internet connectivity will be amongst the fastest at sea, allowing passengers to stream videos, upload photographs and video conference in real time. Complementing this new connectivity, the ship will also offer the Royal iQ app to all passengers, giving them the opportunity to make reservations for restaurants, shore excursions and spa appointments.

Despite already having the joint highest capacity on the seas (with sister ship, Allure of the Seas) the Oasis will also be boosted by an additional ten new suites. Overlooking the Boardwalk and AquaTheatre, the new suites will also benefit from a new exclusive lounge and sun deck area.

The ship will arrive in Southampton on Wednesday 15 October, allowing cruise fans to get a first look at the ship’s new features before departing on a transatlantic cruise to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Bookings for this cruise can be found here.

Oasis of the Seas’ sister ship Allure of the Seas will undergo the same refit in May 2015.
