New York Rangers and Celebrity Cruises Announce Partnership & New Rangers Legends Cruise

Professional hockey team, the New York Rangers, have formed a partnership with Celebrity Cruises

The hockey team have named the cruise line as the Official Cruise Line of the Rangers.  For Blueshirt fans, this means exclusive offers from Celebrity Cruises, including the first-ever Rangers Legends Cruise.

Celebrity Cruises will also be prominently featured at the Rangers’ home, Madison Square Garden.

All about the Rangers’ Legends Cruise

Here’s all the details about the upcoming Rangers’ Legends Cruise:

  • It’s a seven-night modern luxury cruise that sails to Bermuda on the Celebrity Summit.
  • The cruise departs August 3, 2014 from Cape Liberty Cruise Port in Bayonne, New Jersey.
  • Blueshirt fans will get to meet such legends as Ron Duguay, Adam Graves, Ron Greschner and Stephane Matteau.
  • Many exciting activities onboard and ashore are planned, including meet and greet events with opportunities for photos and autographs, shore excursions, and private receptions, such as a sunset barbecue on the ship’s pool deck just to name a few.

Home Game Activities

The Rangers are also planning home game activities. These activities include an in-arena shooting contest at five home games throughout the 2013-2014 season. Five fans will get a chance to win a spot for them and a guest on the upcoming Rangers Legends Cruise.

Celebrity Cruises also will hold a sweepstakes with a chance to participate in an on-ice shooting contest during the Rangers game on April 5, 2014.

Celebrity Cruises will be featured on in-Arena dasherboards and will become part of the Rangers’ team websites; on the new state-of-the-art centre-hung multimedia display; and on-ice branding and digital signage during the Rangers Legends Cruise shooting contests.

Why Partner?

The partnership came about because the team and the cruise line realized they were an ideal fit due to the focus on excellence and luxury between the two premium brands. The partnership is a way to connect the fans with the cruise line as well as show fans appreciation for their loyalty and support. The hockey team continually seeks out ways to offer its passionate and committed fans some truly unique and memorable experiences. Celebrity Cruises also has a chance to introduce its luxury cruise experiences to a larger demographic that may have never experienced a cruise before. This provides a perfect way to introduce the experience of cruising with the fan base’s love of their hockey team.

About Celebrity Cruises:

The Celebrity brand dates back to 1989; the company merged with Royal Caribbean International in 1997.

The cruise line believe their ships “embody modern luxury,” something that has “become the definition of Celebrity Cruises” today.

Modern Luxury can be defined through the line’s use of cool contemporary design, warm spaces, amazing dining experiences, an unmatchable holiday experience and attentive service.
