New Outdoor Kids and Teen Areas onboard Royal Princess

Royal Princess, the newest ship to join Princess Cruises, has a range of amazing features & looks set to be very popular with child passengers.

Royal Princess has a new enhanced area for children and teenagers, both of which are fun-packed and will keep your children entertained for hours on end!

For ages 3 to 7

For the little kids, from 3 to 7, the Pelicans Club onboard Royal Princess has some great hands-on, educational and creative activities. Your children will be able to enjoy fun craft as well as stimulating educational workshops, including the popular Jr. Chef@Sea program. Princess Cruises understand that young children have a lot of energy to burn, so at the Pelicans Club they can go tricycle riding, play on a great mini air hockey table, and make safe use of an amazing outdoor play centre. For something a bit more relaxing, there are delicious ice-cream and pyjama parties and a Kid’s Fun Fair.

For ages 8 to 12

The 8 to 12s should enjoy the fantastic Shockwaves Club. Like the Pelicans Club this has an outside space where your children will be able to play a range of great outdoor games and get involved with similar arts and crafts activities. If your children like ice-cream and pizza, then they’ll love the Shockwaves Club food parties. There’s also great entertainment with a giant TV and DJ booth. The kids-only dinners allow the opportunity for your children to make new friends onboard.

For ages 13 to 17

For teenagers, there is an exclusive program called Remix. This includes teen-only areas where your older children can mix without being annoyed by their younger siblings! They can relax in a teen wading pool, play up-to-date video games and take part in various outdoor activities. There’s a dedicated space for open air parties so teens to mix with their peers. With late-night movies, dance classes, sports competitions, a DJ booth, and a formal dinner, there’s no shortage of things for your children to do to keep them occupied.

For under 3s

Royal Princess also caters for very young children. There is a dedicated area onboard for the under 3s, where they can play safely and under the supervision of their parents.

About Royal Princess

Royal Princess is the most recent addition to Princess Cruises. This is a 3600-passenger ship that will launch in June 2013 and is under construction in Monfalcone in Italy at the Fincantieri shipyard. The ship has a variety of great features, including a larger atrium which houses new casual dining options, such as the Italian Gelato and the Ocean Terrace Seafood Bar. There’s equally fantastic entertainment, from the spectacular SkyWalk, which extends 28 feet from the edge of the ship, to a television studio and the huge Princess Theater. If you want to stay active, you can visit the sports complex which has laser shooting and even a batting cage! There’s a little something for everyone onboard and adults will enjoy their time away as much as their kids!
