MSC release details about wild water park onboard new ship Preziosa

MSC Preziosa will boast the longest waterside on the waves!

MSC Cruises have just announced that their new ship, the MSC Preziosa, will boast a brand new Aqua Park onboard.  The park, which has been named “Doremi Castle” will features ‘Vertigo’, the longest single rider body waterslide at sea – perfect for thrill seekers!

About Doremi Castle Aqua Park:

To be found on Deck 16, Doremi Castle Aqua Park is every child’s dream, there are levels of different water features raised on different platforms, including sprays, fountains, water pistols and valves.  Each feature is designed to splash, soak and delight – it’s perfect fun for a hot day at sea!  As if that wasn’t enough, there’s also a ‘drenching bucket’ that slowly builds up and pours over unsuspecting revellers, as the bucket fills, suspense is built – will you be next in line for a soaking?  The whole family will also love the new water cannons, why not take the opportunity to drench your friends, old and new?

Children under 120cm cannot play on the Vertigo slide for safety reasons, but they can use the smaller double and single slides in Doremi Castle, specially designed for the little folks to enjoy as they splash the day away!

About the Vertigo Water Slide:

If you’re brave enough, climb the stairs to Deck 18 before embarking on ‘the wildest ride on the waves.’  There are 120 meters of twists and turns through the tunnels, which feature lighting, bands of translucent colour and spectacular views (as the slide stretches over the side of the deck for nine meters, and is translucent, giving riders a great view of the sea below, should they dare to keep their eyes open!)

Don’t dare to ride?  Spectators can have fun on the decks below as they watch others whizz through the transparent sections of slide!

Vertigo Opening Hours:

The opening hours for Vertigo will fluctuate depending on itinerary and season.  It’s advisable to check out the times when you’re onboard the ship.

About MSC Preziosa:

MSC Preziosa is due to be christened in Genoa, Italy later this year.  The vessel is the fourth and final addition to the celebrated “Fantasia” class of ships. MSC cruises boast that  Perziosa sports “considerable style” and plenty of unique features – including the stunning Infinity pool, relaxing adult-only solariums (if you need a break away from the kids), the “secluded paradise” that is the Aurea Spa, and we mustn’t forget the fantastic Galaxy restaurant which serves delicious Mediterranean food.  Yum!

About MSC Cruises:

MSC prides itself on being a “family first “company by ensuring there’s never a dull moment on board for children, teenagers and the young at heart.  The company says the new waterpark features will guarantee ‘bucket loads of fun’.
