What, I hear you ask, are “The Alcoves”? Well, the Alcoves are a new concept thought up by Celebrity cruises, and basically, you can have your own private, luxury hideaway on their latest cruise ship – the Silhouette. The Alcoves are situated in an idylic location, next to the Lawn Club so that you view encompasses both a lush green law, and of course the wide expanse of sea all around you.
Celebrity have created The Alcoves to give their guests somewhere to get away from it all. They are solely for relaxation and chilling, just enjoying the moment and the feeling of being on holiday!
There are eight of these cabana type alcoves and each one will accomodate 2-4 guests, perfect for couples and families alike. They are decorated with chic styling and comfort in mind, with ambient lighting making them perfect for a secluded, romantic getaway.
The Alcoves can now be booked online on the Celebrity Cruises website, and with your booking you will also get a plate of fresh fruit, mini fans and chilled towels, bottled water and the use of an Ipad for the duration of your time in the Alcove so that you can listen to music or watch a movie while you chill out.
You can also order fresh picnic baskets for an additional cost which will be delivered to your Alcove. You can choose your own drinks and food to go in them, and you can even have cheese and wine at night time under the stars if it takes your fancy.
I don’t know about you, but these “Alcove” thingys sound like my idea of heaven! I know which ship I will be cruising on next year!
