Holland America Line Set to Host MasterChef At-Sea

Tastebuds are set to be tantalised next year as Holland America Line confirms it will be hosting the latest MasterChef Cruise presented by Endemol Shine North America. Pegged as the most delicious culinary adventure on the high seas, the seven day cruise will see the Nieuw Amsterdam sail around the Caribbean while passengers and celebrity chefs cook up a storm.

The cruise in inspired by America’s most watched cooking competition series and offers passengers a chance to experience the excitement first-hand. From Mystery Box Challenges, cooking demonstrations, meet-and-greets and more, it’s guaranteed to satisfy even the most discerning of appetites.

A cluster of MasterChef ‘All-Stars’ will also be on-hand to lend their expertise, with  Season 4 winner Luca Manfe, Season 5 runner up Elizabeth Cauvel, MasterChef Junior Season 2 contestant Sean Le and the yet to be announced winner of Season 6 all gracing the kitchen. Highlights include:

MasterChef Junior All-Stars Grilled Cheese Showdown

Grilled cheese is a quintessential after school classic! In this competition junior passengers are invited to show off their best creations that prove that the snack can be so much more than just bread, butter and cheese.

MasterChef All-Stars Meet-and-Greet

For diehard MasterChef fans this is a fantastic opportunity to get up close and personal with the stars. They’ll also get a chance to get signatures and autographs from the kitchen extraordinaires!

Live Mystery Box Challenge

The Mystery Box Challenge is one of the most exciting MasterChef features. This competition gives passengers their very own taste of the showdown as the All-Stars compete to create a winning dish.

All-Stars Finale Cook-Off

The cruise winds up with an ‘All-Stars’ cook off that sees the crème de la crème of MasterChef competitors go head to head in a bid to win the cooking crown.

Given the fact that Holland America Line is famous for its mouth-watering fare, it’s only fitting that the company hosts the latest MasterChef at-sea cruise. On-board passengers are treated to a myriad of fine dining options, overseen by culinary artisan and professional chef, Rudi Sodamin. Rudi is Holland America Line’s Culinary Consultant and Chairman of the coveted Culinary Council featuring fellow foodies Jonnie Boer, David Burke, Jacques Torres, Elizabeth Falkner and Mark Best. He personally drives the continuing evolution and progressive development of the line’s fine dining experiences and is considered one of the industry’s most well respected international food authorities.
