Celebrated as the most magical place on earth, Disney Land is a Mecca for kids and adults alike. Now, Disney Cruise Line passengers can enjoy all the enchantment at-sea, with the line announcing a VERY merry line-up of Christmas themed cruises.
Raising a glass to both Thanksgiving and Christmas, the ‘Very Merrytime Cruises’ serve up a kaleidoscope of feel-good holiday fun, from turkey fanfare feasts and indulgent Christmas spreads to elegant New Year’s Eve galas and winter wonderland balls.
Here’s a glimpse at what to expect if you sail with Disney this winter!
The first night on-board is lit up with a glittering, three deck tall Christmas tree that shimmers with magical decorations. Disney characters are on hand to lead Christmas carols, and welcome all passengers with unlimited hugs.
Held in the atrium lobby, Santa’s Winter Wonderland Ball is a great chance to dress up to the nines, and rub shoulders with Santa and Mrs. Claus themselves. Dance the night away to Broadway-inspired entertainment, and experience a truly ‘white Christmas’ when a pair of royal sisters join the party in a blizzard of ‘Frozen’ fun!
With tropical vibes to boot, this deck party is the perfect place to soak up the winter sun. Kids and adults alike will love additions like the Yuletide Slide, as well as the chance to limbo and conga under giant candy canes.
When Thanksgiving rolls around, the chefs whip up a tantalising turkey feast, attended by Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse wearing their finest threads.
Throughout Christmas cruises, Disney ships host a fantastic line-up of holiday activities. From building edible gingerbread houses to meeting Santa Claus, there’s no end to the magic at sea.
If you’re lucky enough to spend December 25 on-board a Disney ship, you’re in for a treat. Christmas morning sees the atrium lobby showered with gifts from Santa Claus and his pint sized helpers. As the sun sets, celebrations continue with an extravagant Christmas dinner.
Want to ring in 2017 on-board a Disney cruise ship? If you’re sailing on December 31, don’t forget your dancing shoes because all ships host high energy New Year’s Eve parties, complete with live music, a midnight countdown and of course, plenty of bubbly.
