Five Reasons Why We Can’t Wait for Anthem of the Seas

It is less than a year until Royal Caribbean launch Anthem of the Seas, the second cruise ship in the liner’s Quantum class. Sailing exclusively from Southampton; Anthem of the Seas will take in some of the most beautiful Mediterranean destinations whilst treating passengers to unparalleled luxury and a fantastic array of activities.

Here are the five biggest reasons why we can’t wait for the launch of Anthem of the Seas.

  1. The North Star Observation Pod

Giving passengers incredible views of land and sea; the North Star Observation Pod rises over 300ft in the air offering 360 degree views. Be the first to spot distant destinations in this awe-inspiring crow’s nest. The pod can hold 14 guests at any one time so you can share breath-taking views with your loved ones. Rides on the North Star are complimentary and bookings can be made for sunrise and sunset experiences.

  1. iFly Ripcord Skydiving Simulator

The Quantum class of cruise ships from Royal Caribbean will be the first to include a skydiving experience. The bespoke wind tunnel from iFly Ripcord allows passengers to experience the thrills of skydiving and feelings of weightlessness. Complimentary reservations for the simulator need to be made online before setting sail.

  1. Eleven Complimentary Restaurants and Diners

The Quantum class of ships are designed with freedom of choice in mind and have extended that to the dining options on board. Rather than operating one main dining room; Anthem of the Seas will play host to eleven complimentary eateries offering a range of cuisines in settings ranging from formal to super-casual.

The eleven on-board eateries are:

–          American Icon Grill – Smart-Casual American comfort food

–          Chic – Smart Casual Contemporary Cuisine

–          Coastal Kitchen – Smart-Casual Californian-Mediterranean Fusion

–          The Grande Restaurant – Formal Continental Cuisine

–          Silk – Smart-Casual Pan-Asian

–          The Café – Sandwich Bar

–          Café Promenade – Sandwiches and Pastries

–          SeaPlex Dog House – Hot Dog Bar

–          Solarium Bistro – Breakfast Bar

–          Sorrentos Pizza – Pizzaria

–          Windjammer Marketplace – Casual Buffet

  1. Jamie’s Italian

Jamie Oliver has transferred the skills and recipes he acquired travelling around Italy on his scooter to his range of Italian eateries. For an additional cost, passengers can enjoy unique Italian dishes created by one of the world’s most famous chefs.

  1. Virtual Porthole

All interior staterooms on the Anthem of the Seas will benefit from Virtual Portholes, ensuring that passengers don’t miss any of the breath-taking views that the liner takes in. The Virtual Portholes comprise of floor-to-ceiling high-definition television screens, streaming live views from the exterior of the ship.
