Following the launch of Royal Caribbean’s latest member of the fleet, Quantum of the Seas, last week, the cruise line has provided a first look into one of the ship’s unique features: the NorthStar Observation Pod. NorthStar gives cruise guests the chance to be lifted over 300ft into the air above the seas and take in views and seascapes for miles.
Royal Caribbean have released this preview video, providing an insight into the experience and what guests can expect when taking a ride on the Quantum’s NorthStar. Rides of the NorthStar is complimentary for all guests of the Quantum of the Seas, although bookings may be necessary for sunrise and sunset experiences.
The Quantum of the Seas is currently sailing the last leg of its maiden Southampton to New York cruise before spending the winter season sailing the Caribbean out of New Jersey. A NorthStar Observation Pod will also be included on the next cruise ship from Royal Caribbean, Anthem of the Seas, when it launches in April 2015.
