Princess Cruises recently announced a range of fantastic outdoor entertainment for the top deck of the new Royal Princess ship.
Passengers are set for the trip of a lifetime with what’s on offer: from the spectacular SeaWalk to the dramatic Evening Light Show, every passenger will find something to suit them.
“We’re placing even more emphasis on our outdoor entertainment options with this new ship…With all of these exciting features on the top decks, passengers will truly enjoy their time under the sun — or stars.”
— Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises executive vice president.
One of the most impressive new entertainment features onboard Royal Princess is the SeaWalk. This is 60 feet long and 128 feet above the ocean. With its striking glass-floored walkways it guarantees striking views of the ocean stretching around the ship. But if you’re after something more relaxing, the area right next to the SeaWalk is lined with palm trees and fresh water pools. You’ll be able to sit back in a comfortable lounger and soak up the atmosphere.
In the evening, the entertainment onboard Royal Princess uses the island area between the two pools to create an amazing stage. Using fantastic architectural lighting effects, a dramatic light and sound show will dazzle the audience. Incorporating dancing fountains and 85 water jets, this is a show that is certainly not to be missed!
Royal Princess also has a signature poolside theater which has a 30 percent larger screen and a high-tech visual and audio system. With a variety of movies on offer, including screened sporting events, there’s no better venue to get lost in a film . Passengers will even get free popcorn and can watch the movie from a comfortable chaise lounge. You can even watch from the whirlpool spas!
Passengers certainly won’t want to miss the Ultimate Deck Party. This is held on select evenings and sees the island turned into an amazing outdoor dance floor. If you want energy and great music, this is the event for you!
Royal Princess is a modern ship under construction for Princess Cruises. It will house 3600 passengers and has a range of new special features in addition to those described above. These include a larger atrium; a range of fantastic private poolside cabanas; the new Princess Live! television studio; a special Chef’s Table Lumiere and a pastry shop. In 2013 the Royal Princess will set sail on the signature Grand Mediterranean itinerary and then undertake Eastern Caribbean cruises from the start of the fall.
