Dive Deep with Royal Caribbean and National Geographic

From kaleidoscopic coral reefs and shipwrecks that are teeming with marine life to towering underwater volcanoes and serene swims with chilled out turtles, nothing says Royal Caribbean quite like an unforgettable underwater experience.

Now the line is helping passengers take their holiday experiences to new depths by partnering up with legendary eco-advocates, National Geographic. On 17 brand new Royal Caribbean shore excursions, passengers will be able to score top quality gear manufactured by National Geographic Snorkeler. The inventory features a trio of sets, including the high performance Reef Cruizer Titanium for adults, plus the Sharky Swim Cap + Goggles and Tuna 44 Jr for kids.

Exploring oceans in high definition!

Described by National Geographic as “high-quality, performance dive snorkelling equipment”, there’s simply no better way to see the psychedelic underwater worlds that Royal Caribbean ships cruise over. As well as loaning equipment, passengers will also get the chance to purchase their own sets, with a 10% Dive Shop and Shore Excursions Desk discount.

Passengers can choose to book their National Geographic Snorkeler tour using the pre-trip Cruise Planner tool, online booking system or on-board via the in-house agent.

A wonderful world of water

So where can passengers get submerged with top of the range Nat Geo kit?

  • From CocoCay (Royal Caribbean’s secluded private island in the Bahamas) passengers can swim with tropical fish and identify species using a specially issued ID card. A guide is on-hand to offer a quick introduction to snorkelling lesson covering techniques, gear and reef conservation.
  • After a scenic cruise through the historical Nassau Harbor, passengers plunge into Rainbow Reef, one of the most coveted dive destinations in the Caribbean. The marine sanctuary is brimming with life, with guides on-hand to help identify fish, sharks, turtles and more.
  • Down Under, passengers can immerse themselves in the natural wonder that is the Great Barrier Reef. With gravity defying coral formations and a host of marine life, the reef is a dream for snorkelers and divers alike.
  • With vibrant Caribbean cuisine, breathtaking views and the blazing sun shining overhead, it could be hard for passengers to free fall into the underwater world of Pinel Island. It’s well worth it though, as the turquoise waters of the French Cul de Sac are alive with coral and sea life.

Did you know that around 71% of the Earth’s surface is covered with water? If you haven’t snorkelled, you’re missing out! Ready to dive deep? Take a look at our Royal Caribbean cruises today! Alternatively, give our sales team a call on 0808 2746 777.
