Disney Dream is Slowly Becoming Reality

Disney cruise line has announced that their brand new ship, the Disney Dream has just entered the final stage of building. The new vessel is set to sail on it’s maiden voyage from Florida in January 2011 and it looks as though everything will go according to plan.

The final portion of the Dream’s bow has been put into place, finishing the building process and making sure progress can now be made inside the gigantic ship. Some of the ships unique features will also be started on now, for example, the installation of the first ever water coaster on a cruise ship. The “Aquaduck” as it will be known, is sure to attract both children and big kids to this particular ship as they look for something exciting and different onboard their cruise.

The Disney Dream is expected to be one of the most incredible ships out there. It is 128,000 tonnes and will have a grand total of 14 decks. The ship will be an incredible 1,115 feet long and 125 feet wide. It’s size means that it can accomodate a massive 4,000 passengers and 1,458 members of staff.

The Dream will set sail to the Bahamas when it is completed, offering three or four night cruises to guests. The ship will also land at the privately owned Disney Island – Castaway Cay. Cruises onboard the Dream will appeal to cruise lovers of all ages, and it is sure to change the idea in many people’s minds that cruises are just for adults.
