Curtis Stone Set to Cook up a Storm in Princess Cruises Kitchens

Princess Cruises is continuing to tantalise the taste buds of its passengers with a recent announcement confirming a partnership with celebrity chef Curtis Stone. The handsome Top Chef Duels host has teamed up with the line to launch three mouth-watering new concepts set to hit the line’s 18 vessel fleet later this year. Want to know more? Check out our overview of the trio and how they’re set to make cruising with Princess tastier than ever!

Crafted by Curtis

When Curtis has finished working his magic each main dining room will feature a series of “Crafted by Curtis” menu items. In a nod to his homeland the Aussie restaurateur will showcase the new items on Down Under October sailings aboard the Golden Princess. Princess Cruises president Jan Swartz maintains that the partnership is sure to delight Australian cruisers due to Stone’s incredible popularity. After Aussie cruisers have sunk their teeth into the artisan items they’ll make their debut on other international voyages.

The specialty restaurant

While both Princess and Curtis have remained relatively tight lipped about this concept we can confirm that the line’s ships will soon house specialty restaurants developed by Mr Stone himself. The restaurant will make its grand debut on-board the Emerald Princess in December, followed by the Ruby Princess in 2016.

Curtis Stone’s Chef’s Table Experience

The Curtis Stone’s Chef’s Table Experience offers passengers the chance to enjoy a curated evening meal crafted by the legendary restauranteur. The concept will hit Princess ships in 2016.

Culinary cruising at its finest

Stone is a self-confessed cruise lover and has admitted that simply saying the word ‘cruise’ makes him feel blissfully relaxed. He asserts that cuisine is an integral part of the holiday experience and hopes that his trio of concepts will enhance Princess Cruises voyages for passengers across the globe.

“I’m set on bringing a new culinary experience to the sea to enhance and complete a cruise holiday,” says Stone in a Carnival Corporation press release. “Since I travel often, I know that discovering delicious food and sharing a great meal can create some of the most memorable moments and I’ve designed my restaurants with this in mind. It’s important to me that guests have the experience that I would want and food that I’d be thrilled to eat myself, at sea or anywhere else in the world.”
