The Cruise1st Guide to the World Cup

The world’s biggest and greatest sporting event kicks off this afternoon with the opening game of the 2014 World Cup between the hosts Brazil and Croatia. Roughly half the planet’s population will be tuning in to watch many of the world’s greatest players (sorry Zlatan) test their talents against one another.

As we love football here at Cruise1st UK, almost as much as we love great cruise holidays, we have produced a helpful guide to the World Cup with a unique twist. We just couldn’t resist the urge to incorporate our number one passion into our World Cup infographic and producing the cruise guide to the World Cup.

As the eternal optimists, we have worked on the principle that England will win all of their games and calculated the distance that England fans will have to cover if they are to travel from Wembley to all of the games, up to and including the final. We’ve even chucked in a few fun World Cup facts for the uninitiated.

With Brazil being the 5th largest country in the world and the games taking place throughout its largest countries, there is a lot of travelling to be undertaken by teams and fans alike. The Mexican national team seem to have the right idea, taking over the MSC Divina to serve as the team’s transport and hotel for the duration of the tournament – allowing them to relax and concentrate on their upcoming games and getting past the Round of 16 for once.

C’mon England!
