Coveted Second Annual Entertainer of the Year Cruise Announced by Princess Cruises

Following Carlos Oscar’s success in winning the first-ever Entertainer of the Year cruise in April last year, Princess Cruises has now decided on its second cruise to decide next years’ winner!

There will be four possible finalists battling it out to win the prestigious competition and the outcome is once again in the passengers’ hands. On the romantic setting of the Valentine’s Day cruise on Crown Princess, sailing during 9-16 February 2013 and touring the Western Caribbean, the ballots will be cast. Passengers can go along to the live performances from each of the finalist entertainers and judge which one they think is a deserved winner! The important announcement of Second Entertainer of the Year will be made on the final night of the cruise during a special party.

A $5,000 cash prize in up for grabs for the winner and of course the sought after title of “2012 Princess Cruises Entertainer of the Year.”

The field of contending comedians was narrowed down before the cruise, and the Princess Cruises’ entertainment team will make the selection of the four top finalists. Keep a look out on the Princess’ Facebook page for updates about the chosen finalists and video clips so you can see who you think is a worthy winner.

“Passengers loved our first Entertainer of the Year competition, especially the opportunity to see all the finalists on one cruise”

“Many passionate fans were championing their favorites and the final performances onboard were hugely popular. We can’t wait to see to see who our passengers pick next year.”

— Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises executive vice president

Of course there is a great deal to do onboard beyond the Entertainer of the Year competition. Princess Cruises have a range of great activities and everyone will find something just right for them. On Crown Princess, why not visit the Lotus Spa for that much needed relaxation, or if you want something a bit more upbeat, try Gatsby’s Casino and Skywalkers Nightclub. There are many high-quality bars and restaurants and passengers have a superb range of different dining experiences onboard. You can sample a wide range of delicious tastes with great flexibility. The impressive pools on the ship are a must see, and The Sanctuary, which is adults only, is perfect place for romantics wanting to celebrate Valentine’s Day in style and in a beautiful setting!
