Concrete Beach Brews Now Pouring on Carnival Vista

Over the past few years there’s been a noticeable shift towards offering passengers tantalising at-sea experiences. Along with enlisting the expertise of celebrity chefs, lines have rolled out a host of exciting new F&B concepts, and craft breweries are the latest trend.

Pioneered by Carnival Cruise Line, Concrete Beach will start brewing at-sea when its newest ship launches in May. To mark the occasion, the iconic brand will create a trio of exclusive ‘Carnival’ beers for the ship’s Redfrog Pub. They’ll be served alongside Tropic of Passion, its signature wheat beer classic featuring notes of passionfruit. Needless to say, it’s the perfect way to kick off a sundowner in the Caribbean!

Introducing the new Concrete Beach crew

So what’s new to the Concrete Beach line-up? For passengers that want sample imaginative new craft creations, bartenders will be pouring three brand new brews, all developed to reflect the essence of a Carnival Vista cruise.

Here’s a sneak peek at what to expect.

  • Aromatic and floral with hoppy notes and passion/citrus overtones, ThirstyFrog Port Hoppin’ IPA is perfect for cooling down after a hard day soaking up the sun.
  • As an unfiltered lager with bouquets of banana and spices, ThirstyFrog Caribbean Wheat is slightly heavier and seriously moreish.
  • For those in search of something a little heavier, FriskyFrog Java Stout is a modern twist on an old classic, with a rich creamy texture and a dash of coffee.

“We’ve been working for months with these talented partners who have helped us create three exciting and unique craft beers for Carnival Vista and we anticipate our guests are going to absolutely love them,” said Eddie Allen, Carnival’s Vice President of Beverage Operations.

Pioneering the at-sea craft beer scene

Jon Carpenter, in-house Brewmaster for Concrete Beach was thrilled to be a part of the project and introduce Carnival passengers to the craft beer scene. “It was an honor to be a part of this one-of-a-kind project, and we feel like we created a great variety that is sure to please guests,” he said. “It’s common for vacationers to want to test out the local beer and Carnival Vista has taken the concept of local, and applied it to the decks of their ship.”

Ready to toast Concrete Beach?

When it comes to beer, Carnival has it covered. Not only will passengers be able to hit up North America’s first at-sea brewery when cruising on Carnival Vista, but they’ll also be able to sample local homeport brews across itineraries calling at New Orleans, Galveston, Baltimore, Tampa, Alaska and Hawaii. Check out the huge range of Cruise 1st Carnival Cruise Line itineraries, now sailing to destinations across the globe.
