Celebrity Cruises set up pop-up restaurant in San Francisco

The luxury vacation company Celebrity Cruises’ has recently announced that it will be creating the first ever cruise line pop-up restaurant in San Francisco, California.  This is an exciting venture and it’s sure to bring in big crowds, hungry for delicious food! The pop-up restaurant will be based at Stable Café in the Mission District. Alongside its fantastic food, the restaurant theme will match the sleek style familiar to passengers onboard Celebrity Cruises’ ships. Using contemporary design features and modern paintings, the décor in the pop-up restaurant aims to create a warm atmosphere and will be based on the earth and sea.

If you choose to dine at this exciting pop-up restaurant you will be in for an amazing food experience. Indeed, Celebrity’s Director of Culinary Operations, James Beard, will be working alongside the chef John Suley, and an expert team, in creating a delicious menu for all diners. This menu draws upon Celebrity’s very own onboard menu and will leave you wanting to come back for more! Using ingredients which are locally sourced, this pop-up restaurant is looking to make a big impact.

The pop-up menu includes culinary delights such as a five-spice crusted Cervena venison loin with celery root fondant, wilted spinach, red cabbage marmalade and lingonberry sauce. This is taken from Celebrity’s speciality restaurant Murano. And how about sampling a roasted parsnip salad with apple, celery, radicchio, capriago cheese and truffled hazelnut vinaigrette for lunch, while for dinner you experience a Jerusalem artichoke veloute with chanterelle mushrooms, mascarpone cheese, Iberico ham and sourdough crouton? Doesn’t it sounds like amazing food?! If you can’t decide, just look at what other fantastic dishes are included on the menu, such as seared Arctic char with “beluga” pasta, chorizo, mussels and a smoked paprika emulsion.

And if all of that doesn’t sound tasty enough, you should definitely check out the desserts. The “Strawberry Fields” dessert comes directly from the specialty restaurant Qsine and promises to be as delicious as sounds!

What’s more, Celebrity has one more extra offer to extend to its customers. It has decided to partner with Tasting Table and to invite their San Francisco-area subscribers. Diners will be entered into a draw to win a fabulous prize of a 7-night Alaska cruise for two people on Celebrity Solstice in 2013. If you want to be in with a chance to win this amazing holiday, check out the tickets to the restaurant which are available here: http://celebritycruisespopup.eventbrite.com. Remember these tickets are subject to availability.

Finally, in accordance with Celebrity’s “Cruises Cares” program, the proceeds from the tickets will go to the Celebrity Cruises Scholarship at The Culinary Institute of America (CIA).
