Celebrity Cruises’ new mobile casino gaming app

Earlier this month, Celebrity Cruises announced they are to install new technology on four ships that will allow guests onboard to enjoy Casino games on their smartphones.

The Casino games, which will be available on Apple and Android devices, are the result of a new partnership between Cantor Gaming and Celebrity Cruises. The two companies will work together in providing the industry’s first complete mobile casino gaming solution onboard four of Celebrity’s cruise ships.

Guests aboard four Celebrity Millennium-Class ships will be able to download the FREE app over the shipwide Wi-Fi network. After downloading, guests need to visit the ship’s Casino desk to activate their account and fund their ‘virtual wallet’, but then games can be enjoyed from anywhere on deck. The new app solution is another way Celebrity are providing rich entertainment to guests, but in a run and convenient way.

Speaking of the new partnership, Lee M. Amaitis, the President and CEO of Cantor Gaming said:

Also speaking about the new partnership, Celebrity Cruises’ Senior Vice President of Operations, Greg Purdy said:

He continued:

“Cantor Gaming’s modern approach to mobile gaming will help us ensure that our guests have an unmatched experience on our luxurious ships.”

The games can be played with the Celebrity ships sail through International waters. The digitised casino app will include slots-style games, table games and video poker.
