Celebrity Cruises’ Millennium & Infinity featured on “Top Chef” episode & plus private screening at new pop-up restaurant in NYC.

Luxury cruise line Celebrity are proud to announce that they’ve hosted the cast and crew for Bravo Media’s Emmy Award-winning Top Chef competition onboard two of the fleet’s ships:  2,158-guest ship Celebrity Millennium and 2,170-guest ship Celebrity Infinity during their sailings in Alaska.

The popular show, which is in it’s 10th season, will air tonight (January 30th) in the USA on Bravo at 10pm Eastern and 9pm Central time.

The contestants were asked to work in Celebrity’s top-quality culinary operation preparing dishes served to guests onboard.  For the uninitiated, working in Celebrity’s kitchens is no easy task: they feature multiple galleys and diverse dining options; the contestants had to navigate the challenging intricacies of working in this unfamiliar environment in a bid to impress the three Top Chef judges, who joined in the action and assessed the contestants’ work onboard the Celebrity ships.

Today (Wednesday 30th Jan) Celebrity are holding a private screening of the Top Chef episode at their pop-up location in New York City (learn more below) with five of the talented former “Chef’testants” in attendance:  Hung Huynh , Mike Isabella , Spike Mendelsohn , Hosea Rosenberg and Casey Thompson .

New York pop-up restaurant:

This week, Celebrity will be taking its own cuisine to Manhattan, New York City by launching “A Taste of Modern Luxury, an exclusive pop up restaurant at The Kitchen NYC.

Celebrity will be showcasing the culinary skills of their James Beard-featured chef John Suley, who will serve a three-course menu including both favourites from onboard the Celebrity fleet and brand new dishes inspired by the flavours of Manhattan.

Joining John at the pop up restaurant will be Master Mixologist Junior Merino a.k.a. “The Liquid Chef” who will serve divine concoctions from his pop up version of the Celebrity fleet’s innovative and hugely popular “Molecular Bar”, which typically serves a range of healthy, unusual and unforgettable cocktails.  Guests can certainly expect thoughtfully prepared beverages from Junior to accompany their food, before finishing their dining experience by sampling delicious, artfully-crafted desserts.
