Celebrity Cruises have announced a new addition to their fleet, Celebrity Flora, providing the most luxurious passage to the Galapagos Islands ever. Offering decadent access to the most ecologically-diverse region in the world, Celebrity Flora will surely top the holiday wishlist of visitors from all around the planet.
The cruise line currently operates a class of smaller ships, designed to enter the protected waters and small ports around the Galapagos archipelago – the Xpedition Class. However, these ships concentrate more on wildlife encounters, rather than ocean cruising luxury – something Flora is set to change.
With capacity for 100 guests across an all-suite collection of staterooms, Flora will provide uninterrupted views of this beautiful part of the world thanks to outward-facing infinite balconies. An on-board observatory, providing floor-to-ceiling windows, and The Vista, offering 360-degree views, further enhance the immersive experience of cruising to the Galapagos Islands. And when night falls, guests are invited to the Stargazing Platform where stunning views of the night’s sky can be enjoyed.
A series of itineraries around the Galapagos Islands have been planned for Celebrity Flora, giving guests the chance to enjoy the unique wildlife of this rich part of the world. These trips are galvanised by land tours through Ecuador and Peru, including a stunning excursion across the Inca Trail.
For guests looking to get right to the heart of the region, three on-board Zodiacs provide passage under the waters. A number of suites even provide outdoor living areas, complete with telescopes – perfect for spotting wildlife.
Celebrity Cruises have gone to incredible lengths to bring you closer to the Galapagos Islands. Celebrity Flora boasts amazing anchor-less technology, so the ship can dock closer to the action without causing any issues. A commitment to sustainability also sees the line produce the most energy efficient ship operating in the part of the world. In-room water filtration and innovative technologies reduce on-board wastage.
This socially-aware sailing is perfect for considerate cruisers who love the finer things in life. And this luxury is complemented wonderfully by the personal suite attendants and a yacht-like atmosphere.
Celebrity Flora is set to enter service in May 2019, delivering amazing itineraries around the Galapagos Islands. It is an exciting time for the cruise line, with five new ships (including the next-gen liner, Celebrity Edge) set to enter service by the end of 2022.
