Carnival Cruises expand their fleet

Carnival Cruise Lines have added their 24th vessel to their growing portfolio of luxury liners.

Carnival Cruises added a 24th vessel to their fleet this month; the 3,690 passenger cruise ship left from Venice on 3rd June and will arrive in Barcelona on 15th.

Onboard the new Carnival Breeze ship:

Part of their “fun-ship” line, this ship is clearly aimed at the family market and has plenty to see and do whilst onboard.  Unique to Carnival Breeze is the multi-dimensional special effects Thrill Theatre which leaves you feeling you are taking part in the movie itself.

Carnival Cruises have developed their own groundbreaking “Fun Ship 2.0” entertainment and games production.  Carnival Breeze is the first ship to feature the full range of products including Hasbro, The Game Show and Playlist Productions who put high-tech LED staging and special effects to excellent use taking seagoing entertainment to a new level.

For those wanting water based entertainment, Carnival Breeze has a theme park onboard called WaterWorks.  This recreational area not only has a crazy golf course and outdoor fitness area, but has water slides and a 300-gallon drenching bucket – kids will love it.  There are plenty of activities held on board for the children, along with a little escape for the adults in the Cloud9 spa.

Food options are also family orientated, and along with The Comfort Kitchen which offers American style food, there is Guy’s Burger Joint, Mexican food from Bluelguana, and Italian style from Cucina del Capitano.  For a more formal dining experience, a full-service sushi restaurant is available at Bonsai Sushi.

The interior of the ship features vibrant colours in public areas, and palm trees in their mixed indoor and outdoor café and live entertainment areas.  The staterooms are a little more classic looking, decorated with pastel colours, but they but feature design elements inspired by the Caribbean.

Carnival Breeze will be joining the other 23 ships which offer 3 to 18 day trips around the Bahamas, Caribbean, the Fiji Islands, Mexican Riviera, Alaska, Canada, New England, South America, Europe, Bermunda, Tahiti, Hawaii, New England, Norway, the Baltic and British Isles.

Carnival Breeze facts:

  •  When docked in Europe, you can find the ship in Barcelona, Spain.
  • The ship’s home port is Miami, Florida, USA.
  • The vessel is 1,004 feet long and can fit over 3,600 guests onboard.
  • There are a whopping 1,386 staff members onboard Carnival Breeze
