Carnival Cruises today announced that they would be introducing comedy clubs onboard all of their 22 “fun ships”. The comedy clubs are expected to be up and running by the end of the year. The Carnival Dream already has a comedy club aboard and due to the success of this club, the idea is going to be rolled out fleetwide, giving cruisers everywhere a night of fun and laughter.
The club will host five shows lasting 35 minutes each on various nights during each cruise. There will be at least two comedians performing each night, in each show. There will be earlier shows, aimed at providing laughs for the whole family, as well as later performences which may feature some more adult content.
As well as established comedians, and big names in the industry, there will also be rising stars of the comedy world performing onboard the ships. With around 10 shows per short cruise, or 20 per longer cruise, it is hoped that everyone who wants to, will get the chance to experience the laugh out loud entertainment.
Comedy shows have long been featured in Carnival’s entertainment schedule, however, they only have one dedicated comedy club amongst the fleet at present. It seems that so many guests were taking up the opportunity for some light hearted entertainment, that Carnival felt this was something which would work on all of their ships. Guests will be told who is performing and given comedy schedules in the ship’s newsletter.
Carnival is currently the most popular cruise line in the world, and the addition of these comedy clubs is likely to go down a treat with both seasoned cruisers, and those looking to try out this type of holiday for the first time.
