Good news!  If you want to experience a fantastic holiday onboard one of the cruise industry’s newest and most innovative cruise ships, you’re in luck!  Today, bookings opened for Royal Caribbean’s Quantum of the Seas – the newest addition to the company’s fleet and the first ship in the company’s new “Quantum Class” category.

From today, lucky Crown & Anchor Society loyalty program members will have a choice of rooms on Quantum’s inaugural voyage and her subsequent 2015 sailings.

The general public will be able to grab their tickets from June 4th onwards, and we anticipate huge demand for this thrilling new ship.  In fact, Royal Caribbean have gone on record saying they’re confident that holidaymakers will be hard pressed to find another experience that can provide as many “WOWs” as Quantum.

What to expect onboard Quantum of the Seas:

From the rock-climbing wall to the FlowRider surf simulator; from the thrilling zip-liner ride to the onboard park with over 12,000 plants and trees; from an onboard skydiving experience at 300 feet in the air to bumper cars’ from relaxing spa treatments to exquisite fine dining – there’s something all passengers will love – whether young, old, male, female.

Those seeking comfort and luxury will be pleased to hear that the company have had a re-think on staterooms – guests will find these are the cruise line’s largest and most advanced rooms EVER!

Speaking today, Royal Caribbean International’s president and CEO Adam Goldstein, said,

“Royal Caribbean is proud to partner with some of the Caribbean’s premier destinations for the inaugural season of Quantum of the Seas.”

“The Quantum class of ships will combine a new set of truly exciting and first-at-sea innovations that can only be found on Royal Caribbean, with some of the most incredible destinations in the region.”

“We can’t wait to WOW vacationers with the new Quantum class.”

Sailing to Southampton?

The vessel’s inaugural sailing is scheduled for November 23 2014.  Subsequent journeys range from 7 to 12 nights, with various stops at Caribbean ports during a roundtrip sailing from Cape Liberty Cruise Port in New York City (USA).

However, Travel Weekly are reporting that Quantum, which is being built in Germany, will sail to Cape Liberty via the port of Southampton (UK) in November 2014.

Travel Weekly write:

“No mention of the Southampton sailing is made in information on the ship’s inaugural season to the Bahamas and Caribbean but details appear on a sales flyer detailing cruises through to April 2015.”
