Leading digital cruise magazine Bon Voyage celebrated its first birthday in business earlier this month and marked the special occasion with its debut Editor’s Choice Awards. As expected, Disney Cruise Lines blew the competition out the water and went home with an impressive collection of gold, silver and bronze crowns. Best Mainstream Line was the most prestigious achievement, with Best for Multigenerational Families, Best Mainstream Cabin, Best On-board Evening Entertainment, Best Services for Children Under 3 and Best Services for Children Age 3–12 also making an appearance in Disney’s trophy cabinet!
“There are some exciting things going on in cruising right now, so we wanted to reward the lines that are really upping their game,” said Sherri Eisenberg, Bon Voyage Editor-in-Chief in an interview with Yahoo Travel. “The awards are an opportunity to explain our recommendations to readers in a very definitive way.”

While many cruise lines are content to stick with their current itineraries, Disney Cruise Lines are constantly on the search for new and exciting destinations that blow their passengers away! “The line takes care of children in a way most luxury lines take care of adults” said Eisenberg.
Thanks to an intensive staff training programme, Disney staff are some of the most attentive in the industry! From memorising passenger preferences to quickly responding to out of the ordinary requests, the friendly and helpful workforce play a key part in making the Disney experience what it is.
Eisenberg can’t praise the line enough, saying “We’re always excited by some of the innovations Disney does. For example, after her first day on board, a little girl’s preference of chocolate milk was always waiting for her at the dining table.”
When you cruise with Disney, there’s never a dull moment! A daily schedule of Broadway style performances gives passengers the chance to sing and dance with all their favourite Disney characters. Cinemas screen a star studded schedule of feature films while deck parties are also a hit with passengers both young and old.
As much as parents love their kids, it’s sometimes nice to escape to a child free zone. A collection of nightclubs and adults only lounges give parents the chance to let their hair down while kids clubs are a great way to keep the little ones entertained in the meantime.

With most staterooms featuring split bathrooms, Disney makes it easy for parents to keep an eye on their little ones around the clock.
