10 Reasons to Cruise (As if you need any!)

1) Relaxation

Enjoy total relaxation aboard a cruise ship, no driving, no waiting around in airports, no delays – just pure relaxation. Cruises offer you the chance to get aboard, and then just forget about everything for the duration of your holiday. All of the stress is taken out of the holiday, all you have to do is turn up!

2) Amazing Entertainment

Most big cruise lines offer a huge variety of onboard entertainment, from broadway style shows, to comedy acts, and even onboard circus performances – there is something to keep everyone entertained.

3) Gorgeous Food

When you go on a cruise, the majority of the time all of your food is included and what a lot of food that is! You can order anything you want for breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper, and you can even have food delivered to your room. If you are lucky enough to have a balcony, why not eat al fresco? Cruises usually offer something special too, for those chocaholics out there – try the midnight chocolate feast!

4) Wake up in a Different Country Each Morning

You will be able to explore a huge range of destinations, something you would find very hard on a “normal” holiday as it would involve lots of uncomfortable travel and waiting around. On a cruise ship, your hotel floats to each destination, giving you time to explore before taking you to the next stop.

5) A Range of Climates

Whether you want to soak up the sun on a Caribbean cruise, or chill out on a cruise in Alaska, there is something to suit all tastes. You are guaranteed to be able to find somewhere hot and sunny, no matter what time of year you want to cruise.

6) No Flights!

If waiting around airports and getting delayed is your idea of a nightmare, then do not fear as in most countries, you will be able to cruise without ever setting foot on a plane. This takes the hassle and stress out of travelling, making it a more relaxing experience.

7) See New Things

You will get to explore such a wide range of environments and cultures on a cruise, visiting many different places during your holiday. If you are a nature lover, why not try an Alaska cruise to see bears and whales? Or swim with exotic fish in the Caribbean if you prefer a hot holiday.

8) Make New Friends

You will no doubt have lots in common with fellow cruisers, and many people make lifelong friends onboard the ships. Hang out with friends in the bars, or restaurants, or go along to shows to experience some fantastic entertainment. On many cruise lines, you can sit with others at dinner, which is a great way to meet new people.

9) Exciting Excursions

When you are on a cruise, you will have the chance to take part in some fantastic on shore excursions. From tours around cities, to treks through hills and mountains, and even kayaking with whales, there is something to suit all tastes.

10) 5 Star, Luxury Service

When you are on a cruise, you will be treated like a king! With a nightly turn-down service, and mints on your pillow, everything you need is taken care of by staff. The service is always exceptional on cruise ships and you can expect all members of staff to be incredibly helpful and polite. Being treated like royalty is all part of the cruise experience.
